Would like to thank you for your support you guys bring morale to us in a box at a time.
It is great to know there are still people who care and support us!
WE APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU GUYS AND GALS DO FOR THE TROOPS. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
This means alot to us that there are people willing to support us that don't even know who we are. It really makes us proud to do what we do.
Thank you! I appreciate those who support us in our endeavor to keep freedom free.
First of all, thanks for lookin out for us over here.we get pretty bored when not out on missions. it means so much to us to get mail and even more getttig things that remind us of what life was like back home before we left. i've been photographing alot of afghanistan since i got here and would love to share my experiance with you guys, if you'de like. thanks for all you do to keep us in the fight!
I really appreciate all the help that you can give to myself and other soldiers. It really means a lot to us when we receive things from home and from people that still appreciate what we are doing overseas. Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you so much for supporting us, while we are away from our loved ones.
Thank you so much for all you do for us Soldiers!

Thank you for all that you do! It really is nice to get items in the mail when you are not expecting anything.
My husband along with some other soldiers have been sent to a remote location where they live in a tent and have nothing. They don't have any kind of store or anything. I love my husabnd with all my heart and I want him to know that he will still be taken care of. We have not forgotten them.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
THANK YOU, TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORT THE TROOPS!
Thank you so much for your support!
I am part of the unit ministry team. We are getting support for the soldiers here so that they feel that "support" from back home that they don't always feel. Some of these guys don't have strong family ties so we want them to feel appreciated. Thank you for your care and support.
Thank you for all you do to help support the troops. Every little thing regardless of size can truely make a difference in someones life.
Thank you for what you are doing. My mom says thanks as well.
Thanks for the support while I was over there, and thank everyone else that does what they do to support us while we are deployed. It truely makes a difference recieving the packages, cards, pictures, letters written by children. It makes what we do that much more important to know that we have the support. You guys provide a valuable service to all service members. I arrived home from Afghanistan a few weeks ago. It was an exciting and interesting experience that I will never forget. Many Afghans appreciate what we are doing to assist them, and many do not. I am fortunate to have made it home un-harmed, as many that I worked with did not. I am actually trying to do another tour in the near future, but don't know if the Navy will allow me.
I have received your package and appreciate your kindness. I handed most of the items to the Soldiers I work with, and they thank you for sending them.I am the Executive Officer for a Combat Engineer Company located in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. We are part of the Army out of Fort Carson, Colorado. I am originally from New York, but reside in Colorado with my Fiancé. I do like sports. I am a college football fan....Army, UVA, or Boston College are the teams I rout for and watch. I wear T-shirts and am a size Large.Thank you again for your kindness and thoughts.
I was in a long mission and i just got back to find 3 boxes sent thru this program. I haven't got the opportunity to thank each one of the volunteers for their support but I will. Thank you very much for your support; it honestly makes this deployment a bit better, specially during this holiday season. I hope everything is good back home :)
Mail means so much to us out here. Thank you for giving to Soldiers out here at FOB Sharana. We've been pushing a lot of stuff out to other Soldiers who lack many of the luxuries such as flushing toilets and showers. I personally have really liked using stationary from supporters to write to sponsors and friends that have been generously sending snacks and other amentiies to us.
We have some kids out here that don't have anyone to send anything to them so we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this time away from our family and friends better and easier on us.
I got a box from y'all today thank you so MUCH!!!
I received my first Hero Box earlier this week. Thank you so much for taking time out to send me these useful items. I have attached an email which I sent to before with the information you requested.
This is my third deployment and it seems that support from the home front has dwindled. Its refreshing to see that there are still groups like these to support us. Again, thank you.
Thank you, I enjoyed the cereal, they came in handy for a quick snack of energy. I shared the Texas Pete with others in the unit. They loved it and were excited to have a taste of Texas.
To all the thoughtful caring people who pack and provide all the reminders of home. Thank you from all the soldiers from 2-198 CAB.
I signed up for herobox a few months back and we got so busy over here I forgot about signing up. I noticed my name on the mail list today so I went down and checked and I had two boxes from herobox. Thank you very much. One box was full of starbucks instant coffee. I walked around with the box and I felt like Santa as I asked "do you drink coffee" and if they responded with yes, I tossed them a box of the starbucks instant coffee. Everyone was so excited, especially after being with starbucks for about 6 months now. If you ever had coffee at a military chow hall, you would understand why they were so excited. The other box had personal hygiene items and some other items that I shared with everyone in my section. I also had some cards in the boxes and there was a note about where the cards came from, so I will be sure to write them and thank them.I just wanted to say thank you for taking care of us over here. Sometimes it is the stuff that people stick in the boxes that we would never have thought to ask our family for, that make this place feel a little more like home. You made a lot of Soldiers happy today with those two boxes, keep up the good work and when we redeploys I will surely be signing up through herobox.
Dear Herobox, I want to thank you for taking your time to send care packages and letters. I have shared your package with the Soldiers. They found joy in knowing that people, who do not even know them, care enough to send things. Deployments are hard on families and especially during the Holidays. Each box that we receive for the troops shows us that we are not forgotten. I have been extremely busy this Holiday season planning ways to make the troops feel connected with home and trying to minister to all no matter what faith background they have. I heard a theme that I wanted to share with you. The theme was one of gratitude. They were grateful to find out that people have taken time out of their day to make care packages and even write a note to each Soldier. This Christmas I was able, with the help of our leaders of the 211th MP BN, to drop off small packages and letters from the states to every living area (CHU) on Christmas Eve. Even though many of us know that Santa is not real Soldiers and Sailors opened up their doors to find wrapped gifts and letters. You would not believe how excited people were to know that the Christmas spirit of giving reaches far from home and into the depths of a country that has vastly different beliefs. All day on Christmas people were talking about the gifts that they received. I could never repay you for giving to the gift of love that you all shared with me and to the 211th. The joy I was able to experience with them brought me a great peace in knowing that we were going to make it. Together there is no telling how many lives were touched by your small gift of love. As you have shared with me I have shared with my Soldiers. I ask that as the New Year is a head of us you share the joy in knowing that we are praying for you and for your family. Without you praying for us and supporting us we could not keep up what we have been able to do here.
Thank you so much for your support. It came just in time for Christmas. I have to inform you that none of my guys could wait to dig in! Some of my guys are first time deployers and it's really special that you took out time to show your support. It makes our job here just a little bit easier when we get mail from back home. I fell compelled to response and thank you for everything that you do. Just know you have changed sad faces to happy faces. I hope this letter finds you well. I hope you have Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas. Thanks from the Fire Direction Section of HHB 1-10FA and God Bless.
My daughter, A1C Whitny Woolverton, USAF is the recipient of HEROBOX packages and she has been amazed at the sheer kindness and generosity. Knowing that she has support "back home" and isn't forgotten and has the support of the people of her country truly makes a difference. She is a aircrew member and hands many of the items she receives to Soldiers deploying to forward posts with no exchange or services. She especially enjoys the cards and letters from the children and would like to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
My sponsor has been awesome. Her package came at the right time and was definetely appreciated. She is very kind and gracious and I appreciate her time and donations. I have been in contact with her and still am on hit and miss basis due to mission. Your service is amazing and a big help to soldiers thank you soo very much and kudos on a job well done.
I wanted to say thank you on behalf of my entire platoon for everything our HeroBox sponsor has done for us. We couldn't have asked for a someone better. We truly appreciate everything that your orginization does in support of our troops... Again thanks...
I like to thank everyone for the support and for all the goodies they sent. This always makes a deployment easier.
Hero box, made me feel the love of my fellow americans which allowed me to complete my mission.
I'm just finishing up my second deployment in Iraq in a little over 3 years and I have received packages from several organizations for myself and my soldiers. I have to say that HeroBox paired me up with one of the nicest, most considerate gentleman I have ever met. He sent items that he knew I would use and enjoy and maintained communications with me throughout the past 11 months. Thank you so much for your wonderful service!
The HeroBox program is a huge morale booster for me as well as the troops. The stigma of not receiving any letters or packages from home for those unfortunate souls is curbed entirely from this awesome program. You guys were definitely thinking about the gravity of our dilemma's and for that I'm truly grateful. God bless you and your organization and thank you again!
Dear HeroBox, I have had an awesome experience with your organization. I was sponsored by the Arnold Family whom I have become very friendly with. Their updates and care packages have brought a little piece of home to a faraway place. Thank you for everything you do for Soldiers.
Thank you for your generous boxes. Thank you for all that you have done on our behalf and for all of the support that warms our hearts. We really appreciate the thoughtful cards and notes and wish you all a very merry Christmas and Holiday Season. I have the honor to serve with the Kurdish People of Northern Iraq. They are a wonderful and hospitable people. They treat us as liberating heroes. They were under heavy suppression under Saddam. They are a smart and promising people. That is not much of a write up, but I can't say enough about the security and care that we have received from these people. They are true friends to America and have included us into their family.
