Hometown Heroes: JROTC Fundraiser
College Options Foundation and HeroBox have developed Hometown Heroes, a unique fundraiser in which your JROTC unit sells silicone wristbands, customized to feature your JROTC Branch of service and colors. This is a fast and easy way to raise funds for your program. Your program also has the opportunity to support deployed service members from your unit and/or community.
The program utilizes the HeroBox web platform to connect you with your deployed service members so that you can support them while away from home. The program also provides you with resources to raise the funds necessary to support your unit and your efforts. It's this easy...
Step 1 : Register with HeroBox. The first step is to register. After submitting your information, a verification email will be sent to you. Click on the link in the email to verify your information and login to your account.
Step 2 : Register your Heroes. Log in to your account and register deployed service members from your unit or community that you would like to support. An email is sent to those service members to verify their information. Once verified, they will be linked to you through the web platform.
Step 3 : Request fundraising items. Log in to your account and request the amount of wristbands you would like to receive. There are no up front costs; units are invoiced $1 per wristband, 45 days after their order is received. We will be expanding the Hometown Heroes fundraiser to include personalized car stickers in the near future. Your unit decides on the amount for which you sell the wristbands, which means that you decide how much your unit profits. We suggest a $2 - $4 price point.

Support for your alumni - You can register currently deployed service members from your unit in the HeroBox web platform.
National Recognition - Top selling members of your unit will be recognized on our website and in the media. They will also be eligible for prizes and awards.
