Pack a HeroBox

    1. Register and login to your HeroBox account.

    2. Select a hero and print their wish list if you’d like, or decide what to send on your own.

    3. Fill a USPS box with some of those items. (Please be aware of the dimensions of the USPS Priority Mail flat rate boxes before purchasing items )

    4. Print their shipping label in your account.

    5. Tape it to the box and drop it off at the post office or schedule a pickup.

    • Items: You can send anything. We recommend items from their wish list, or our list of commonly requested items. You can find both in your account. Be aware of the size of the box you are using before purchasing items to ensure that they fit.

    • Label: Click on your hero to print their shipping label. It includes the postage, address, and customs information.

  • Box: Free

    Items: Up to you

    Postage: $17-20

    You will be purchasing the shipping label from HeroBox, the box and items are yours to procure.

Build a HeroBox

    1. Register and login to your HeroBox account.

    2. Select a hero and add items from their wish-list on Amazon.

    3. Checkout and our system will ship the HeroBox!

  • No. Whether you send one item, a few items, or every item, be assured it’s much appreciated.

  • You choose how much to spend. You’ll see how much each item costs in your hero’s wishlist. You then pay for the postage and the box is delivered.

  • Click the Register Now button to create an account. Login to your account and select your hero(es)!


Onsite HeroDay

  • An onsite HeroDay is for groups that want to gather in-person. Participants will pack Heroboxes or Herobags with items for our heroes. A HeroDay is the perfect team building event, and we’ll guide you every step of the way :)

    • Parcel: If you’re packing 50 or more, we’ll send you HeroBags to fill. If you’re packing less than 50, you’ll use USPS Medium flat rate boxes.

    • Items: You can raise the items, or we can provide them.

    • Labels: We provide the shipping labels. Each label has all the required information including the customs form.

    • HeroBags: If you’re packing HeroBags, we supply the drawstring bags, and shipping boxes. 5 bags per shipping box.

    • HeroBoxes: If you’re packing boxes, you’ll get the boxes from the USPS. See the Resources section in your account on how to order them.

    • Items: We can provide them, or you can raise them. You can find a list of requested items in the Resources section of your account.

    • Shipping Labels: Every box requires a shipping label. We provide these. You can download them in your account or we can mail them to you.

    • Box/Bag: Free

    • Postage: $20/hero (approx)

    • Items: $20/hero if we provide the items

virtual HeroDay

  • A Virtual HeroDay is an event where individuals gathers virtually to pack a HeroBox, or build a HeroBox online in their account. We will provide a code for participants to use when buying postage for their packed box, or to cover the cost of building their box.

  • If you’re packing a box, you’ll physically gather supplies, pack a box, and ship it. Learn how to Pack a box.

    If you’re building a box, you’ll build a box in your account and we’ll ship it for you . Learn how to Build a box.

  • Click the Register Now button to create an account. Login to your account and click the ‘Events’ tab to create your event. Click ‘Add Activities’ in your new event page and follow the wizard to set up your activities.


FAQ

  • The way our system works is to connect you with a Hero and provide you with a shipping label to send that Hero a box. Once you have registered and selected a Hero to send a box to, you will purchase the shipping label, print it out and tape it to your USPS Priority Mail flat rate box of the corresponding size. If you choose to build a box online, the shipping will go through Amazon and you will not see your label. The step for purchasing the label happens once you have selected a Hero.

  • You will receive a tax receipt that reflects both the amount you paid us for the shipping label as well as an estimate of what you paid for the contents of the box (if packing at home). This is for tax purposes, it does not mean that you were charged more than you thought. If you check your credit card statement, or look closely at the receipt you will see that the only charge from HeroBox was for the shipping label.

  • We ask that you be very careful and aware of the dimensions of a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. The shipping label you are purchasing is good for that box only. If you would like to send large or bulky items from the wish list it is best to build the box online. We cannot provide additional shipping labels for free if you need additional boxes to send your items. It is recommended to go to the post office and pick up your free box before purchasing items for the box.

  • The shipping label that you purchase for your HeroBox is the transaction that you are making with HeroBox. Our shipping partner will not provide additional labels for free and therefore it is very important that you keep track of your label and its expiration date. The label will expire 30 days past purchase date and needs to be used prior to that date.

  • We encourage you to not only send items to your Hero but to connect with them as well. Once you have purchased a shipping label for a Hero they will appear on your Impact section in your web profile. You can send them a message from there. Not all Heroes message back, but some do and love to establish that connection with you. If you participated through a HeroDay, you will not have the message options, but can always send a box yourself to establish one.

  • Yes! Please be aware that the label will expire 30 days past issue. You must use the label to send your box within 30 days. We recommend that you pick up your free box from the post office and the items before purchasing your label so that you can use it immediately.

  • You will be purchasing a shipping label specifically for a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. These are free and available at the Post Office, or can be ordered online and sent to your home for free (there is a link to order in the process of sending a HeroBox). Please be very aware of the size and dimensions of the box, as bulky or bulbous items may not fit in them. If you would like to send those items consider building a box online and having them sent via Amazon.

  • No! You may send anything you like (except prohibited items like weapons) and may choose what from the wish list, if any, you want to include. The wish list is just that, items that the Hero wishes they had. Our Heroes are grateful for whatever items and connection they receive!

  • No! You can send whatever you like and some, all, or none can be from the wish list.
