Esler Companies pack 700 HeroBoxes!

Esler Companies Honors Memorial Day by Supporting Deployed Service Members Through Hero Day
May 21, 2025 — In honor of Memorial Day, teammates across Esler Companies came together to support deployed U.S. service members by participating in Hero Day, a company-wide volunteer initiative in partnership with HeroBox.
HeroBox is a nonprofit organization that delivers personalized care packages to deployed service members based on their individual needs. What began as one family’s effort to support a loved one serving in Iraq has grown into a national mission to make care from home feel more personal and meaningful.
Esler Companies dedicated $30,000 to support the initiative, which took place across all ten Esler territories. Teammates packed 700 HeroBoxes filled with items requested by military members stationed overseas. The care packages included healthy snacks, coffee and drink mixes, sweet treats, on-the-go toiletries, puzzle books, and more. Each box also featured a handwritten note from a teammate on Esler’s “With Love” note cards.
Esler Companies is proud to employ many veterans, including Zach Moelter, Corporal, USMC (Ret.) and Warehouse Manager for North Texas, who shared:
“As a Marine veteran, taking part in Hero Day held personal meaning for me. During my deployments to Iraq in the early 2000s, care packages were rare. The infrastructure to support mail delivery was barely in place, and those small comforts reminded us we hadn’t been forgotten. Every box we packed says, ‘We see you. We appreciate you. You matter.’”
Each Esler location added its own local touch to the event. In Oklahoma, teammates stamped painted handprints on the outside of each box and attached a simple message: From Our Hands to Yours. With Love, Esler Companies.
“Our Renewal Cares Window of Giving program is designed to create meaningful, purpose-driven opportunities for teammates to make an impact,” said Katie Kleyla, Director of Teammate Experience. “Hero Day gave us a chance to do just that. It wasn’t just a way to give back — it was a team-building experience that brought teammates together around something that truly matters.”
