Marathon Petroleum Support Deployed Service Members

Marathon Petroleum Refinery came together to pack 40 Hero Bags for 40 deployed service members, launching the new year with a powerful gesture of support for the brave individuals who serve with dedication and honor.

HeroBox.org is a nonprofit organization that connects sponsors and volunteers with deployed troops to deliver personalized care packages and moral support while they’re away from home. In this special New Year initiative, employees and volunteers from Marathon Petroleum collaborated to assemble 40 custom-packed bags filled with essential items, comfort goods, snacks, and personal touches requested by service members currently deployed overseas.

Each Hero Bag was packed with care and included handwritten notes of encouragement from Marathon team members, reminding our heroes that they are appreciated and not forgotten. This collective effort exemplifies Marathon’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and to uplifting the spirits of those who sacrifice so much in service to our country.
